a selfless God.
a generous Creator.
an overflowing heart.

loneliness that had to be driven
by a relational God
for the created to know
intention from the start.

garden life.
two trees. one choice.
know all. know strife.
know life. hear His voice.

selfishness. fear.
a naked realization.
an overwhelming shame.
a place to hide.

Creator comes near.
where are you?
I am here.
come abide.

garden death.
consequences now.
history’s quest.
return somehow.

the Lover knew
yet made us anyway.
plan in place
even before the 1st day
to restore His love
back into His way.

the Son comes near.
announces the Kingdom.
commands us to love.
and dies.

restoration is here.
believe His love.
trust His enough.
ignore the lies.

the garden anew.
one day. restful.
thanks to You.
redemption. beautiful.

A man with open arms
He genuinely loved people
They were important to him
He was important to them

John had a way about him
It made him bigger than big
His values were admired
He lived them every day of his life

His accomplishments were huge
Everything he did he did as unto Christ
He loved his wife all of his life
His children were a part of his heart

Obstacles were seen as opportunities
His optimism was always contagious
He inspired people to be excellent
He was admired and loved

Thank you Lord for letting us have John Wallace
He represented you well
He was special and he made others special
His life was lived for You

Max loved life
His wife and children were his jewels
The Lord Jesus his master
Every day was a gift

Energetic and caring
His work and service key
He lived for Jesus
His church the center of his life

Max was a hard worker
Who knew the value of things
He kept them in perspective
He was generous with his life

His wife and family were precious
He loved them with all of his heart
The joys and memories he invested
Live on, with him in their heart

Gordon was focused, confident and aggressive for right
Demanded the best from himself
He knew where he was going
He didn’t waste time getting there

A tireless worker
Long hours many days
Never forgot his family
They were first place for him

Fiercely committed to the things of God
Loved the Lord Jesus Christ
Faithful to his church
A friend to his pastors

Gordon never forgot his community
He cared for the people there
He loved his wife these forty years
He lived his life for Christ

Sunshine, excitement, a journey to Israel begins
New ones filled with excitement, old ones looking to connect with God
Our journey to Jerusalem, has many different roads
All led by Jesus, each one has their goals

Safety is a concern, we will be careful and trust the Lord
Families at home are anxious, Lord comfort their heart
The land of Israel beckons, our history buried there
It is the place our Savior, walked the land for us

The Cross holds our focus, what will we see?
Those who have seen the land, experience new emotions each time
So many surprises ahead, even the air smells different
We will walk where Moses walked, the Pentateuch will come alive

Israelis died on Masada, instead of surrendering to Romans
That rock gives life today, never again Israelis say
The Dead Sea smells of sulfur, the Jordan not deep
The ride up the Rift Valley, an experience to see

Galilee shines in reflection from its sea, we will stand on its banks
Talking about Jesus and the disciples, hearing what they had to say
Yes our emotions will lead us, months to unravel what we see
This wonderful journey, will change the way we read God’s Word

We are celebrating the life of a good man
He walked a tough road
Like many of us he made some bad choices
But what a friend he had in Jesus

Arthur cooked good and was a good cook
He worked hard at walking with God
Obedience to Jesus was uppermost in his mind
A diligent man who loved Jesus and people

When we had problems we went to him
His integrity was important to him
We knew that and could talk with him about anything
Knowing that it would stay with him

Like Jesus Arthur was quick to give grace
He believed in being kind to others
A gentleman in every way
At night he was our community protector

A man of God we loved
A servant to Bethel Colony South
A friend who will be deeply missed
He is with our Father in heaven and one day soon we will see him again

He made all of us a part of his life
One day at a time
Thru joy and strife
Changing our sights to heaven’s gates

We admired his strength
He was a man of God
Listening to God’s voice
And walking in it

Doc cared for people
He appreciated their differences including those who opposed him
He listened to us
Our differences didn’t scare him-he still respected us

Life was a special joy
He lived it fast and hard
Never fearing twelve hour work days
Or twelve hour drives

There wasn’t anything soft about him
Except his heart
He guided losers to the winner’s circle
He wanted everyone to hear about Jesus

Not enough words to explain him
He loved his wife and children and us
Life with Doc was first class
He was Jesus ambassador on earth

Mourning our loss
One man has made an impact
Our loss is his gain

A long life of value and worth
He cared for us-loved us
With courage when courage wasn’t cool
Hearing our hurts and pains
Living with a discipline that encouraged us
He knew each of us by name
Landrum walked to God’s song-Jesus

Family always counted
Wife, children, grandchildren, kin and friends
When you were with him
You were somebody and you knew you could win

A man with no guile
His vision was far-reaching and transparent
Tough with a heart of gold
Beulah land his goal-now he is there

He was our preacher, teacher, leader and friend
Strong guts, no quit
He hated dirt, debt and the devil

Hi as people come and go
Wearing a coat of pain
Never seeing others needs
A mind that walks alone

How are you?
Just a nicety
People are really rushed
Listening may bring hurt

Oh no!
When the physician talks
People are seldom ready
The reality of life and death

Thank you isn’t heard that much
Graciousness doesn’t abound
Also fear and anger
Prowl the hallways of the down

A cry is an emotion heard
Often-in doorways and halls
A reaction to good or bad news
No one is immune

Words unsaid or
Wished we had said
Are things most thought
A waiting room is the wrong place for regrets
